## Challenge
Industrial table and workbench quoting varies by table type, top material, dimensions, load capacity, frame, and accessories, and buyers often need compliance features such as ESD safe or food grade stainless. Pricing this by hand is slow, load to frame mismatches slip through, and accepted orders are manually re-entered into bills of material.

## Approach
We built a rule based CPQ in Odoo that encodes the real specification logic of industrial tables, so a valid, priced, compliance aware quote is produced from guided inputs and flows straight into production.

- **Load and Frame Rules** — Rated load matched to frame gauge, leg type, and bracing, so an under-built frame cannot be quoted for a heavy duty top.
- **Top Material Selection** — SS 304 or SS 316, laminate, or hardwood tops constrained to the use case, with food grade and chemical resistance where required.
- **Compliance Configuration** — ESD safe surfaces and earthing, or food grade stainless finishes, encoded as rules so non-compliant builds cannot be selected.
- **Accessories and Add-ons** — Drawers, lower shelves, castors, backsplashes, and height adjustment priced at component level and added automatically.
- **Auto BOM and Manufacturing Order** — An accepted quote generates the bill of materials and manufacturing order in Odoo, carrying every configured parameter to production.
